POSITION DETAILS: This position works 43 Weeks per year. Work hours are 10:30am - 6:00pm. This is a grant funded position and funding is awarded on a year by year basis.

Employees who are in a paid status for at least 120 days per school year will increase a step on the salary schedule at the beginning of each school year. All employees begin on Year 1.

EVSC employees have access to the EVSC Wee Care Learning Centers.  The Wee Care program provides a quality early learning experience for employees' children as young as six weeks through age five at a special employee rate.  

This position will automatically be enrolled in the Public Employees' Retirement Fund (PERF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA).  Employees may also participate in a 403(b) Plan.  Enrolling in the 403(b) plan allows employees to save for their retirement by making a pre-tax salary deferral contributions to the Plan.

Eligible employees may enroll in the EVSC group life insurance and long term disability plans. EVSC also offers a variety of voluntary insurance products through American Fidelity. 

EVSC offers a free Employee Assistance Program (EAP). It is a confidential, voluntary service that provides professional counseling and referral services designed to help employees and their family members with personal, job or family-related matters.

 

THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION AND FUNDING IS AWARDED ON YEAR BY YEAR BASIS

 

SUMMARY:  

Develops and implements school based programs and services in partnership with community based organizations to support the needs of students and families.   Maintains accurate program records and reports.  Performs duties as required by the 21st Century Community Learning Center and Title I grants.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

(A) Completed at least two (2) years of study at an institution of higher education; or (B) obtained an associate’s degree (or higher); or (C) met a rigorous standard of quality and can demonstrate knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics by having passed the state approved formal Para pro assessment.  Bachelor’s degree or completed college course work is preferred.  Experience in coordinating programs and working with children, as well as knowledge of educational principles is a must.
