SALARY
Salary will be commensurate with the level of education and experience of the recommended candidate.  

Range:
Career Path I:  $41,500 - $61,000
Career Path II:  $43,000 - $80,500

Retirement:
As a contract teacher, this position will automatically be enrolled in the Teacher Retirement Fund (TRF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA).  In addition, this position is eligible to enroll in a 401(a) retirement investment plan, a 403(b) Match Program, and a tax-free post-retirement medical expense account (VEBA).

Additional Benefits:

POSITION OVERVIEW

Perform school psychologist duties under the immediate supervision of a licensed school psychologist to gain an in-depth exposure to the field of school psychology.

 


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conduct psychological evaluations; work with supervisor to prepare reports and provide interpretation of results.
  • Meet the (IDEIA) Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act and Article 7 deadlines for the timely assessment of children with suspected disabilities and provide assessment data and interpretation required for each disability category.
  • Attend case conferences, Educational Intervention Teams and 504 conferences.
  • Participate in eligibility and placement decisions regarding children with disabilities.
  • Interpret assessment results to school personnel, parents, and students.
  • Collaborate on recommendations in ways to assist students.
  • Collaborate on the development of plans, programs, and interventions to assist students’ behavioral/emotional adjustment and academic progress.
  • Observe students in various school settings.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
  •  

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Working to complete Master's degree in school psychology.  Must complete specific graduate course work as required by state licensing board for internship eligibility.
