Salary will be commensurate with the level of education and experience of the recommended candidate.  

Range:
Career Path I:  $41,500 - $61,000
Career Path II:  $43,000 - $80,500

Retirement:
As a contract teacher, this position will automatically be enrolled in the Teacher Retirement Fund (TRF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA).  In addition, this position is eligible to enroll in a 401(a) retirement investment plan, a 403(b) Match Program, and a tax-free post-retirement medical expense account (VEBA).

Additional Benefits:
Employees enrolled in an EVSC medical insurance plan are eligible to use our Health & Wellness Centers conveniently located within the community.  These are no-cost health clinics that provide primary care treatment, generic prescription medications (at no cost),  physicals, health screenings, and labs.  Accumulated sick leave days and personal business days will be provided under this position as well.  Additionally, EVSC employees have access to EVSC Wee Care, our employee-only early learning centers.  Wee Care provides a quality early learning experience for children as young as six weeks through age five.  
POSITION OVERVIEW

As a member of the Comprehensive Counseling Team (CCT), members will identify the needs of students within the domains of academic development, college/career development, and social emotional learning utilizing a multi-tiered, multi-domain systems of support (MTMDSS).   The School Psychologist will implement a data-driven program that aligns with the National Association of School Psychologist (NASP) model.



QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Consult and collaborate with the CCT, school staff, administrators, parents, and community partners to understand and meet the individual needs of students and monitor student progress.
  • Establish and share the comprehensive school psychologist program calendar with administration.
  • Use data-driven decisions for planning, delivering, and evaluating programs and services.
  • Demonstrate cultural competence in, understanding of, and responsiveness to diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Advocate for students and families to maximize student success.
  • Conduct psychological, emotional, behavioral, and academic assessments.
  • Promote positive peer relationships and social problem solving by providing individual and group counseling in the social emotional domain.
  • Monitor and effectively communicate with parents about student progress.
  • Provide crisis prevention and intervention services.
  • Pursue professional growth and participate in local, state, and national school psychologist related conferences and workshops.
  • Abide by the NASP Ethical Standards for School Psychologists.
  • Maintains a strong, regular personal attendance record.

  • JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory.
  • Ability to plan and implement intervention strategies based on the needs and abilities of students.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents and community.
  • Ability to convey information and communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written formats.
  • Ability to perform duties with awareness of EVSC requirements, Board of School Trustees policies, and state and federal laws.

 

  • EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    Approved School Psychology Program completed to meet licencing  requirements.

     

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Indiana Psychology license
